Lunes

Last Friday I made an informal commitment (but a commitment nevertheless) to stop worrying about what is and what is not going to happen in the prospective years of my life. I had no problem sticking to this don’t-worry-be-happy mantra during the weekend, but that is no accomplishment – it is fairly easy to do that on Saturdays and Sundays.

Today, however, is a Monday and not just any Monday: It is the first day of a week that will not go by without two important questions receiving their final answers.

I guess I just put my commitment on hold.

Oi Ca! Well, it's not always possible to just live in the moment, it takes too much effort. And as Lao Tzu wisely said: "the harder you try, the less you succeed". I think it's ok to have hopes and expectations, but ALWAYS have a plan B, C or D, just in case. And if things don't go the way you wanted to, fine. Planning is ok, but not accepting what the universe brings you causes a lot if unnecessary pain. Plan, but with flexibility to change. And allow yourself not to be a Buddhist monk. Bjos! E boa sorte e me conta tudo!!!
